Ministry are calling it a day. Al Jourgensen has followed through on his long-promised announcement of a final album from the industrial metal outfit—Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery)—saying in a statement that he is “fucking done.” A series of farewell shows will begin in the coming months; check out the initial European run, supported by Die Krupps, below, along with a few previously announced U.S. dates. The band has also shared the Joshua Bradford-directed video for the topical, politically charged new song “Burned Out.”
Hate to Go (Take Out or Delivery) is due October 30, via Clepoatra. A full North American tour will follow. Jourgensen added in the press release, “I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from With Sympathy to where we’re at today, and all points in between. It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”
